Starting in Ethiopia

Posted 21 May 2021 by Eva Wissenz.

STEM Synergy, is a US-Ethiopian NGO, focused on empowering people (especially youths and women) through practical STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education, sustainable local solutions and entrepreneurship in Ethiopia.

Lorin is currently in Addis Ababa, starting with the STEM technology transfer team in their great office/workshop space in the big city. Here below is Abiyot, STEM project manager, and the workshop team who are getting down to business right away!

Our first mission together in Ethiopia is to complete one Lytefire 5. Despite some rainy weather, we had great luck and the sun was there for the demo day!! The traditional stick burning went just fine so all is good and we’re very much looking forward to the next steps.

More is coming soon!
